Aval Payasam (Rice Flakes Kheer )

This is a Vishu special recipe, I know it’s a very delayed updated but trust me I cooked it up on 14th April but some issues with the home PC and my personal laptop coupled with my laziness to type and edit the pics delayed the update.

I have told even before that I am crazy about Payasam all kind of Payasam one with sugar, jaggery, kalkand, it doesn’t matter what you add in it I will eat as long as it is named paysam, but what I did told before was as a kid I kind of loathed jaggery payasam. I remember my mom begging to me to at least take one bite of ada Payasam whenever we go to grandparents place.

This is my first experiment with china grass, and it turned out good 🙂

When I saw my roomie buying china grass for her mom I was curious and couldn’t help but grab one for myself. A hunt for the recipes gave a wide range of lists varying from very simple vanilla pudding to complex pudding that I can’t even understand. My family loves cashews, cashews and raisins are two things that are always stocked at our home, so naturally the first flavor my mind went to is a cashew nut flavor…

Coffee Mug Cake

I love cakes but was too lazy to make them because of the wait,so I was  surprised and happy when I came across my first microwave recipe, getting a cake fixed in less than 1 minute seem like an impossible idea at first and that too in a cup is an added bonus. My first microwave cakes were, of course, chocolate ones, my sister love chocolate cakes esp self saucing type.(Note:- my attempt for self saucing always ended up like molten lava ones with a lot of syrup inside.)
