This is a Vishu special recipe, I know it’s a very delayed updated but trust me I cooked it up on 14th April but some issues with the home PC and my personal laptop coupled with my laziness to type and edit the pics delayed the update.
I have told even before that I am crazy about Payasam all kind of Payasam one with sugar, jaggery, kalkand, it doesn’t matter what you add in it I will eat as long as it is named paysam, but what I did told before was as a kid I kind of loathed jaggery payasam. I remember my mom begging to me to at least take one bite of ada Payasam whenever we go to grandparents place.
I might be around 5 or 6 years old when I first saw and tasted an ice cream with pink color… till that day only ice cream I know about are the white one’s ,our lovely lady vanilla..
I still remember that day when we were at my mother’s place and me and amma went for some shopping, rather she bribed me with ice creams into go with her. So that ice cream was her bribe to me, at that age only ice creams I was aware about are the one we get in small cups and the other comes in balls, at that age flavors had nothing to do with my choice of ice creams so I went with the ones in cups…
The dinner idea was chapati and Soya chunks curry.
But before we could start with the dinner some guest arrived, like any other good host we all sat around our dining table and started talking. It’s their daughter’s wedding, since I just got engaged recently we could relate to so many things… like dress shopping, ornament shopping, stage decoration, guest list, caters etc etc etc… we talked and talked and talked for around more than an hour. After a while I started getting bored, and the sneakiest thing you can do when you get bored in a conversation is always. . Play with your mobile…

Rich with lots of cake, fruits and custard, fruit trifle is one of my favorite desserts.One of restaurants we often visits always have fruit trifle as one of the desserts for their Sunday buffet, that is where I tasted this heaven for the first time and then all our visits to that restaurant were for their buffet special fruit trifle.
This is the first time am making or eating an upside down cake. I always wondered how these type of cakes taste like an know I know they are really yummyyyyy!!!!

Payasam is my all time favorite, my cooking escapade started from my love for payasam. When I first started cooking payasam used to be a daily member on our afternoon tea table, it reached to a point that my sister threatened to kill me if I make payasam anymore. My mom is an expert in payasam, she have her own tips and tricks with it, so it is handed down to me when I started my adventure.
